Tennyson Electric has installed the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) system at Broadway and Riverside Ave.  This new pedestrian activated warning system improves the overall safety of the intersection.  New high visibility retroreflective signs have also been installed.

A small section of sidewalk still needs to be filled and will be completed soon.
The City is dedicated to making safety improvements within our community and appreciates your patience during this project.

WELCOME

Thank you for visiting the Broadway/Riverside Pedestrian Crossing Project blog! The purpose of this blog is to keep residents of the neighborhood and interested members of the public up to date on the Broadway Riverside Crossing Project.

The project will enhance the existing, marked crosswalk on Broadway by adding Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB), a street light, and retroreflective signing.  Here is a link to the full Project Description.

Enhancements are anticipated to take place this spring/summer 2015.  Construction will begin with extending City electrical service to the southeast corner for the new street light.  Next a pole will be installed in the northeast corner, lastly the RRFB system and signage placed on the new poles.

Two-way traffic will remain open during construction.  Please check back here for updates.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to improving this crossing.
